If your school (or LEA) is to make the most of the knowledge revolution, then a VLE will play a central and vital part. Ergo Computing has specialist staff who can discuss the best approach for your individual requirements for your virtual learning environment.

Implementing a VLE

Ergo offers two approaches to the implementation of a VLE:

• Consultation
  The first option is a consultative one. The application is located on a group of servers supplied, installed and supported by Ergo engineers at a suitable location within your school or LEA. Ergo will then help implement the system throughout your school(s).
• Managed service
  The second approach is to provide a comprehensive managed service. As previously, Ergo supplies the relevant hardware, however the server farm is installed, supported and located at the Ergo facility in Nottingham.

The system is still as customisable and controllable as if the server was just down the corridor. However on-site support is provided by Ergo engineers, building additional reliability into the system.
