About Genesis

The Genesis Appeal is the only UK charity dedicated to breast cancer prevention. Its vision is to create a future without breast cancer, which is why it is building Europe’s first purpose-built breast cancer prevention centre, which will open in early 2007.

One in ten women will develop breast cancer, The Genesis Appeal is working to make “One in ten, none in ten”.

In the words of Thomas Adams, a 17th Century physician: “Prevention is better than healing because it saves the labour of being sick”.
