Standard warranty (applies to United Kingdom)
All Ergo systems are supplied with a 12 months Collect and Return warranty
which commences from the date of delivery. Options to upgrade this cover
to 36 months are available and would appear on your order confirmation and
invoice if purchased. Any items being returned to Ergo must be suitably
packaged and be clearly marked with a Return Material Authorisation (RMA)
number (see How to Claim section, below). Any items not displaying a RMA
number will not be accepted.
What’s covered?
All parts, labour and 2-way carriage within the United Kingdom (excluding
Ireland and the channel islands), are covered for problems relating to Ergo
hardware which is used under normal service conditions and within its specification.
Any product or component repaired or replaced under the warranty shall be
subject to the balance of the original warranty period applying to the product
or component, or for 3 months, whichever is the greater.
What’s not covered?
- Physical damage (however caused)
- Theft
- Loss
- Loss of data and data corruption
- General wear and tear
- Software configuration issues (after the first successful boot-up, from date of delivery)
- Software viruses
In addition, any Ergo system that has been modified or adapted without
the specific permission of Ergo, or where any maintenance work is carried
out by an unauthorised 3rd party, is not covered.
Under this warranty Ergo will repair your system within 6 working days from
receipt at our repair centre. Where this is not possible, you may request
a loan computer for the remainder of the repair duration.
Where a system is returned to Ergo and it falls outside the scope of the
warranty it will be deemed to be a chargeable repair (see Out of Warranty
repairs, below).
System Batteries: These parts are classed as consumable items and are covered
for a fixed period of 12 months from date of delivery subject to the following.
The ability of all rechargeable batteries to hold their charge decreases
with time and therefore a battery is deemed to be faulty where it:
1. fails to power the machine following a full charging cycle.
2. fails to power the machine for longer than 50% of the minimum battery
specification (these figures are dependant on system model and are available
from Ergo’s technical department)
